As part of our 2024 Winter Warmer Series, members & non-members learnt how AGIG produces renewable hydrogen for blending with natural gas to supply nearby homes and business.

Hosted by SA-H2H™ Chairman Graham Dooley, the panel was headlined by Russell James, Jorge Martin Gistau, Edit Mucsi and Saindhav Tamhane. Exploring the big themes of hydrogen the panel discussed the sustainable future of the energy and mining industry with a focus on some key points:
• Improvements in the efficiency of hydrogen
• Ways to bring production costs down
• The role of green hydrogen in decarbonisation
• Jobs and future skills required across the industry
• Global projects already utilising hydrogen power
Horizon Educational H2GP SA World Qualifier Final
OtherThe Horizon H2GP is a wonderful STEM program providing school students the hands-on experience in designing, engineering and racing remote-controlled fuel cell vehicles powered by hydrogen. This brilliant program encourages teaches and promotes the future generation about careers in renewable energy.
On the 10 May, 19 school teams from across regional and metropolitan South Australia came together for the regions first ever H2GP race in Adelaide to race their self-built cars. SA-H2H™ was super excited to be coordinating this program for the state alongside the Horizon Educational team; it certainly was a day full of action!
Congratulations to team ‘Thunder Findon’ taking home the winner’s trophy and booking themselves a ticket to California in September to complete against the best teams from around the world.

Hydrogen sector opportunities for start-ups and SMEs Workshop
WorkshopHydrogen is crucial to the energy transition as it offers a clean and versatile energy carrier that can be produced without adding to carbon emissions, such as electrolysis using renewable electricity.
This workshop helped the emerging hydrogen sector to understand the potential opportunities for companies looking to supply to this sector.
At this workshop, you heard about:

*SA hydrogen industry cluster (Nicholas Mumford, Co-Founder SA-H2H™ and Simon Hareb, SA Hub Lead CORE Innovation)

*Hydrogen supply chains – goods and services required by this sector, including renewable energy generation, hydrogen production and downstream applications (David Royle, Supply Chain Manager ICN SA)

Member NetworkingSA-H2H™ exclusively invited members to join the inaugural ‘Meet the Buyers’ early market engagement forum with the preferred partners of the Hydrogen Jobs Plan. The forum enabled SA-H2H™ members an opportunity of early engagement and the start to build relationships with ATCO, BOC and EPIC Energy gaining an understanding of the broad market opportunities.
Hosted at the Core Innovation Hub, Ground Floor of Space Lab Building, Frome Road, Adelaide, members explored this unique opportunity that facilitated a strategic exchange of broad market information around the future of the Whyalla hydrogen project!

Annual General MeetingThe SA-H2H™ Annual General Meeting is a hybrid event; with SA-H2H™ management providing an opportunity for members to receive updates on the organisation’s performance, ask questions and vote on key decisions.
Only financially contributing (and financial) SA-H2H™ members are eligible to vote at the AGM. One vote per membership.
SA-H2H™ Acceleration Hydrogen Mobility Workshop
WorkshopA terrific turnout of over 50 people saw insightful presentations from Romesh Rodrigo, Neil Wang, Lora Miller, and Guillaume Drelon.
Centered around building connections between leading hydrogen vehicle manufacturers and future hydrogen vehicle users, all in the name of facilitating the important conversations about how we can accelerate hydrogen mobility industry in SA.
An engaging panel session followed with our speakers joined by Richard Day and David Heard to answer the question: “How do we accelerate the use of hydrogen vehicles in South Australia?”

Site TourAs part of the Winter warmer series event, over 30 attendees joined the SA-H2H™ team as we learnt from one of the leaders, AGIG, in the renewable energy sector how they set up and successfully operate an Australian first project that produces renewable hydrogen gas to nearby homes and businesses.

Toyota Hydrogen Roadshow
ExhibitionToyota hosted a Hydrogen Roadshow in Adelaide on 1st & 2nd June 2023 and extended an invite for SA-H2H™ Members and Supporters to attend.
The event showcased the Hydrogen Bus, Mirai Drive program, stationary generator, and Hydrogen forklift.
SAHy™ Hydrogen Conference 2023
ConferenceHeld for the first time in 2023, this groundbreaking conference was a resounding success with over 150+ delegates in attendance and industry figure heads from Trafigura, ATCO, Fortescue Future Industries, AGIG, BOC, Ghenova, Phoenix Contract and HYDI.
The Minister for Energy & Mining and Minister for Infrastructure & Transport Hon Tom Koutsantonis MP opened the conference.

Hydrogen Investment Opportunities in Hamburg and South Australia
Member WorkshopSA-H2H™ coordinated a forum with the Hamburg Hydrogen Hub in Germany to explore hydrogen investment opportunities between Hamburg and South Australia.
The event was held in person in Adelaide and live streamed to the Hamburg Hydrogen Hub Members.
A host of great speakers lined up in Adelaide as well as from Germany to discuss major projects and investment opportunities in each location and to understand how organisations can form all-important collaborative partnerships both locally and internationally.
Australian Research Council (ARC) Training Centre on Hydrogen Safety
WebinarSA-H2H™ and the University of Adelaide hosted a Roundtable workshop to explore opportunities to establish an ARC Training Centre on Hydrogen Safety.
The workshop included representatives from industry, supply chain, government, and each of the state’s 3 universities.
